An apparent shooting victim was found collapsed in Zephyrhills Wednesday, and later died from his injuries, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said preliminary information indicated that the man who was shot had been in an argument with another person in the area of Vinson Avenue.
The suspect is believed to have pulled out a gun and shot the man, who then ran off and collapsed nearby.
First responders provided the man aid, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The sheriff’s office said the suspect was cooperating with its investigation, and it appeared to be an isolated incident with “all parties accounted for.”
No further information was immediately available.
This is a developing story.
