WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — The West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD) is investigating the death of a man who was pulled from a canal over the weekend.
According to a WPBPD statement, officers responded on Saturday afternoon to the scene, along 45th Street, between Congress Avenue and Australian Avenue, after receiving a report that someone was in the canal.
When emergency crews arrived around 4:30 p.m., they pulled the man from the canal. He was taken to a nearby hospital where medical staff pronounced him dead.
The police department’s statement Monday morning did not indicate how the man may have ended up in the canal, nor did it identify him.
