A man is dead after being shot late Wednesday night in Escambia County.
The shooting happened around 11:45 p.m. outside a home on Tommy Street near Cove Avenue.
A man suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital. The sheriff’s office then told WEAR News Thursday afternoon that the man died from his injuries.
A homicide investigation is underway.
No arrests have been made.
