Man dead after North Fort Myers motorcycle crash

At least one person is dead after a crash at the intersection of Evergreen Road and N Cleveland Avenue (U.S.-41) in North Fort Myers.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, around 5:37 p.m. a woman driving a sedan entered the northbound lanes of U.S. -41 in front of a motorcycle.

FHP states the 70-year-old man driving the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Post-collision, the sedan veered across the southbound lanes of US-41 and crashed with another vehicle.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said multiple lanes of U.S.-41 were shut down.

NBC2 has reached out to FHP to find out how many were injured and what led up to the crash.
