Man dies in boating accident near Archie Glover Boat Ramp in Santa Rosa County

A man has died following a boating accident Thursday afternoon in Santa Rosa County.

A Santa Rosa County spokesperson says the call came in at 2:31 p.m. about a person that fell from a boat near the Archie Glover Boat Ramp close to the Escambia Bay Bridge.

Emergency responders located the man, pulled him from the water and performed CPR. He did not survive and was pronounced dead at 3:20 p.m.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating the incident.
