Man drives off road and hits two empty vehicles in fatal Orlando crash

Florida Highway Patrol says a 65-year-old Orlando man is dead after driving off the roadway and striking two unoccupied vehicles.

Troopers say the man was traveling northbound on Goldenrod Road just north of Bryan Road when he ran off the roadway and struck a sign and fence.

His vehicle then continued into a parking lot and collided with a sedan and a pickup truck.

The man was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

FHP says they do not know how or why the man ran off the road. The crash remains under investigation.
