A 29-year-old man faces a charge of attempted murder after deputies say he dug a grave for a man he attacked at a transient camp in the woods in Volusia County, according to a news release.
Deputies said they investigated the attack, which occurred near DeLand and left the victim in critical condition.
According to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office news release, GB struck another man in the back of the head multiple times before digging a grave in the woods off International Speedway Boulevard and Stone Street.
Deputies said they tracked down B, who was found Friday hiding at 147 Evergreen Terrace. He was taken into custody with the help of a K-9, officials said.
According to the news release, the victim regained consciousness but is believed to have significant long-term injury and memory loss.
