A man was found deceased along the railroad tracks in Cantonment on Saturday afternoon.
Deputies say the man was found by a CSX crew at approximately 2:25 p.m. near Highway 95A, just south of Tate School Road.
According to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, it is possible that the man was struck by a train sometime on Friday.
A train engineer reported seeing something along the tracks in the immediate area on Friday.
Deputies say a bicycle was reportedly found near the man’s body.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.
The identity of the man has not been released.
