A man in his 30s was shot outside a home on Vernon Road Wednesday afternoon.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office received reports about multiple shots fired in the Magnolia Gardens neighborhood. When officers arrived at the scene around 5:30 p.m., they found the man suffering from two gunshot wounds in the front yard of a home.
During the investigation, JSO learned that the man was standing outside with another family member when someone came from the backyard and started shooting.
JSO said the man was shot in the elbow and hip. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The other family member, who was uninjured, is cooperating with the investigation. JSO does not have any information on a shooter.
