Man hospitalized after being shot with flare gun in Charlotte County

A person was shot and injured with a flare gun on Monday morning in Charlotte County.

According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, around 5:20 a.m. someone was hit near Toledo Blade Blvd. and El Jobean Rd.

CCSO said the victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The sheriff’s office arrested N S, 31, near the 7-Eleven at Tamiami Tr. and Toledo Blade Blvd.

Sperduti was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
