The Tampa Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred early Wednesday morning.
Officers responded to a call at 4:25 a.m. about shots heard in the area of 9th Street and Bird Street.
According to TPD, officers located an adult male with upper body trauma. The victim was transported to the hospital.
This is an ongoing investigation.
