A man was taken into custody after a woman was found stabbed in North Lauderdale Wednesday evening, authorities said.
The incident happened around 4:20 p.m. near the 7900 block of Hampton Boulevard.
Deputies responded and found the woman suffering fro stab wounds, and she was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, Broward Sheriff’s Office officials said.
Investigators determined it was a domestic incident and that a man had stabbed the woman and fled in a vehicle, officials said.
After canvassing the area, deputies found the man and took him into custody.
Authorities haven’t identified anyone involved in the incident and haven’t said what charges the man could face.
The incident remains under investigation.
