A man was shot and killed Sunday after a collision between two e-scooters in Miami-Dade, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.
The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. Two men were riding e-scooters in opposite directions when they collided near Northwest 75th Street and Northwest 22nd Court, investigators said.
The collision led to an argument that escalated, according to investigators.
One of the men shot and killed the other before fleeing the scene on his scooter, authorities said.
Daniel Castillo, a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office public information officer, urged anyone with information or camera footage in the area to contact investigators.
Investigators remained at the scene Sunday night as detectives continued working. Part of the neighborhood was blocked off during the investigation.
It was not immediately clear whether the two men knew each other prior to the collision and shooting.
