A 64-year-old man is dead after an unoccupied pickup truck rolled backward and ran him over.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) said the incident took place at the man’s home on Buccaneer Road in Lake Worth.
The crash report stated. on Monday at 12:45 p.m., Dwayne Kenneth Musselman had used a 2006 Chevy Silverado to pull a large stump from the ground.
However, the truck was not properly placed in “park” and as the driver was outside of the Chevy it began to roll backward downhill with the driver’s side door open, the sheriff’s office said.
As soon as the Chevy rolled back, Musselman was knocked over by the driver’s side door and onto the ground, the crash report stated. PBSO said Musselman was then run over by the front of the truck.
The sheriff’s office said Musselman was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:02 p.m.
