A 67-year-old man was killed following a collision with a semi-truck in Port St. Lucie on Wednesday.
The Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD) said it happened before noon, near SE Veterans Memorial Parkway and South U.S. Highway 1, involving a pedestrian and a flat-bed semi-truck.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported the victim to HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to the news release. Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased.
The crash occurred late Wednesday morning and remains under active investigation. Police have not disclosed further details about the circumstances leading to the collision.
