FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Fort Lauderdale police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Wednesday morning.
According to police, officers responded to the 1300 block of Northwest Eighth Avenue shortly after 3 a.m. after receiving a ShotSpotter alert.
Police said officers found a man at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds.
Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue personnel transported him to Broward Health Medical Center where he died.
The investigation remains ongoing and no other details have been released.
