A man is dead after a Monday night crash in Walton County, according to FHP.
Troopers say the crash occurred around 9:25 p.m. when a 41-year-old Miami man driving a semi-truck, pulling an enclosed trailer, was traveling westbound on I-10 and collided with a pickup truck.
According to FHP, this caused the man driving the pickup truck to travel off the roadway and strike some trees.
Troopers say the semi-truck driver came to a controlled stop on the westbound emergency lane.
The driver of the pickup was pronounced deceased on-scene.
The 41-year-old semi-truck driver is suffering from minor injuries.
The investigation is still ongoing.
