An investigation is underway after a man was fatally shot in Southwest Miami-Dade on Friday night, deputies said.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, deputies received reports of a man who was shot in the area of Southwest 109th Avenue and 216th Street.
Once they arrived at the scene, they found the man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body.
Fire rescue crews then took the man to the a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
His identity has not been released.
