Man killed in road rage shooting in Sandalwood area; suspect turned himself in, JSO says

A man died Wednesday night after being shot during a road rage incident in the Sandalwood area, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Police said just before 9 p.m., they received a call about a shooting on St. Johns Bluff Road S., near Atlantic Boulevard.

When police arrived, they found a man lying on the road with at least one gunshot wound, according to JSO.

JSO Homicide and Crime Scene Units responded to the scene.

Police said after talking to several witnesses and the shooter, who turned himself in, it appears that a road rage incident led to the shooting.
