The Tampa Police Department launched an investigation Monday night after a man was killed in a shooting at a local apartment complex.
Officers responded to the Palm Avenue Apartments on North 30th Street after receiving calls regarding a disturbance.
When they arrived, police found a 38-year-old man with what they described as “upper body trauma.” The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene, officials said.
As of Monday night, his identity had not been released.
Investigators believe the shooting was an isolated incident and said Monday there was no danger to the public.
