A man was killed after a shooting near a nightclub in Clewiston early Sunday morning, and the suspect is on the loose.
According to the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened near Club Gossip. HCSO determined the fight began in the parking lot area of Club Gossip, and the shooting took place in the street in front of the club.
Deputies said when they arrived, multiple people were running and vehicles were leaving the area from the club. JLH, 32, died from his injuries, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies said as they set up a crime scene in the area, the sheriff’s office received a call about one of the gunshot victims, H, being taken to a medical facility. While at the scene, HCSO said they received information from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office that a gunshot victim was at Lakeside Medical Center in Belle Glade.
Detectives said they were able to determine that the victim was at Club Gossip. However, HCSO said they can’t confirm the victim’s connection to the shooting.
The sheriff’s office said this is an active investigation. In addition to Hudson, one victim was hospitalized, and another victim was treated and released, deputies said.
