A crash that stemmed from a domestic dispute on Tuesday shut down part of State Road 520 in Cocoa, officials said.

The Cocoa Police Department said the westbound lanes of S.R. 520 reopened just before noon near Fiske Boulevard.

A man was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition, and a woman was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police said the man was on the hood of the car during the crash. The woman, who was the driver, had crashed into two other vehicles. No one else was injured.

The incident started as a domestic dispute between the couple, according to police, who did not release any other details.

An investigation is ongoing.
