Man reportedly run over by bulldozer in Palm City, airlifted in serious condition

Firefighters responded to a distressing scene on Tuesday morning after a bulldozer reportedly struck a man.

Martin County Fire Rescue (MCFR) said at around 11 a.m., crews responded to SW 35th Street, off SW Deroe Avenue to help extricate the man.

Upon arrival, emergency crews worked swiftly to free the injured man from the machinery. Once out, he was airlifted by helicopter to a trauma center in serious condition, MCFR said.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently under investigation by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. Further details will be released as they become available.
