One man was shot during a fight at a park in Deltona, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting happened at 10:50 p.m. Sunday at Manny Rodriguez Park on Overton Street. The sheriff’s office says a 24-year-old man was hit by the gunfire and taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Investigators say before the gunfire, there was an ‘altercation’ involving several people at the park. Two cars, including a white Alfa Romeo, were taken from the scene on flatbed trucks by the sheriff’s office.
Detectives have been interviewing multiple people but have not said whether anyone has been or will be arrested.
