A man was shot in the leg while riding his bike on Saturday evening after getting into an argument with another person in the Lake Forest area, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

The situation began around 5 p.m. on Paul Revere Drive, JSO said.

Officers found a man with a gunshot wound in his leg and transported him to a local hospital.

“The initial investigation has revealed the victim was riding a bicycle in the area when he got into a dispute with the suspect, who was driving a vehicle,” JSO said. “The suspect exited the vehicle and shot the victim one time. The suspect then fled the area in the vehicle.”

The man who was shot is expected to be okay.

JSO asks anyone with information regarding this incident to call 630-0500 or email JSOCRIMETIPS@Jaxsheriff.org. They can also contact Crimestoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
