A man was shot multiple times by another man police said was his friend.
The Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD) said officers are at the scene of NW Greenspring Street after receiving a 911 call reporting a disturbance at 1:40 p.m. on Monday.
PSLPD spokesperson Sgt. Dominick Mesiti said a man was shot multiple times. The victim was rushed by air to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital where police said he is in critical but stable condition.
Police said the gunman was arrested at the scene. In an update, authorities said the two men are friends.
PSLPD said the investigation remains ongoing.
