Man struck, killed in South Daytona

A man was struck and killed Sunday night in South Daytona, according to the police department.

The crash happened around 10:37 p.m. in the 1900 block of S. Ridgewood Ave.

According to the South Daytona Police Department, Tommy L. Cox was hit by a vehicle and taken to Halifax Hospital, where he died.

The department said it does not suspect foul play or impaired driving in the crash.
