A man using a walker was taken to an area hospital overnight on Friday after he was hit by a car while trying to cross North Century Boulevard, according to NorthEscambia.com.

Officials say the man was struck by a Buick sedan as he attempted to cross the four-lane road near the Century Food Mart.

Escambia County EMS transported the man to the hospital, according to NorthEscambia.com

Officials say his injuries are non-life-threatening.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office responded, along with the Century and McDavid stations of Escambia County Fire Rescue.
