A 35-year-old man deputies found with blood stains on his hands and clothes stands accused Tuesday of stabbing a woman five times in Broward County, according to deputies.
Records show AG was at the main jail in Fort Lauderdale with a hold from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
According to Broward County Sheriff’s Office deputies, a man driving a green van dropped off the woman on Sunday night at the North Broward Medical Center where she later underwent an emergency surgery.
According to a BSO arrest report, deputies found the woman’s blood, purse, and pink cell phone in a green van parked along Northeast 12 Avenue, near 30 Street, in Pompano Beach.
Detectives reported the van had a “For Sale” sign with a man’s phone number that was associated with a 911 caller who reported witnessing how a man was “hitting” a woman at about 11:10 p.m., on Sunday.
On Monday, after talking to the witness, deputies reported that when they arrested G at an efficiency along Northeast 12 Avenue, there were blood stains on his white tank top, gray shorts, gray socks, and his hands, according to a BSO arrest report.
After searching G’s efficiency with a judge’s warrant on Monday, deputies reported finding a knife “in which the blade was broken off” and more “blood-soaked clothing.”
Prosecutors filed a case against G on Tuesday for premeditated murder, a first-degree felony; possession of methamphetamine, a third-degree felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a first-degree misdemeanor.
Records show G appeared in court and a judge denied his bond for murder and set his bond for the meth possession at $1,000. Broward County Circuit Judge M G-W was set to preside over the case.
