A man and woman are dead after a motorcycle crash in Deltona.

According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, it happened on Tuesday around 6 p.m. in the area of Normandy Boulevard and Sullivan Street.

Officials say a 2007 Yamaha sport bike was traveling about 80 mph when it slammed into the side of a Mazda SUV.

The motorcycle operator, 26-year-old Joshua E. Colon Cirino, and his unidentified female passenger were ejected from the bike.

“Witnesses attempted lifesaving measures but were unable to save them. Both were pronounced deceased on scene by Deltona Fire Rescue personnel,” the sheriff’s office said.
