Marion County Fire Rescue responded to a kitchen fire in a Dunnellon home early Thursday morning.
Units from Rainbow Springs Station #22 arrived at the home at 7:08 a.m. to find a fire inside.
Firefighters immediately deployed a hose line to extinguish the fire. Additional firefighters from multiple stations arrived to assist.
Crews extinguished the fire at 7:20 a.m. and checked for fire extension throughout the home.
The cause and origin of the fire was determined to be an accidental cooking fire.
