GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – A man is dead after a car crash in Marion County Saturday morning.
Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) troopers said the crash occurred on Northeast 160th Avenue Road south of Northeast 180th Street.
It’s unknown if the victim, a 64-year-old man from Fort McCoy, was wearing a seatbelt while driving his sedan.
The other vehicle was a pickup truck driven by two men wearing seatbelts, aged 58 and 82, from Lutz and Tampa, respectively.
There was no additional information about how the crash occurred included in the press release.
The roadway remained closed while FHP troopers investigated the crash, reopening about 4 hours later.
