Martin Co. school bus involved in 4-car wreck

A school bus was involved in a four-vehicle pileup Friday morning that is expected to cause delays in the area.

In its post shortly after 8:30 p.m., the Martin County Sheriff’s Office reported no one was hurt in the crash, which happened at the Federal Highway and Village Road intersection, in Lake Park.

A picture shared by the Sheriff’s Office showed the school bus at the head of a train of wrecked vehicles. Its statement did not provide details of how the collisions occurred.

In the image, it appears a gray truck struck the bus from behind; however a black sedan can be seen crashed into the back of it, and another black SUV had run into the sedan.

The Sheriff’s Office did not indicate when the road may reopen.
