The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting where a man and woman were injured at a Regency convenience store.

JSO said the two were parked at a convenience store on Burt Road when another driver wearing a mask pulled up and blocked the car.

The driver of the other car shot at the blocked vehicle multiple times for unknown reasons, JSO said. The victim got in the car and tried to drive away toward the Tredinick Parkway and Southside Connector intersection, where he crashed into another car.

The man was shot in the calf. The woman was injured but she was not shot. They were both taken to the hospital.

The driver of the car they crashed into sustained minor injuries.

Detectives do not have a motive for the shooting or suspect information.
