A massive gas tank truck was believed to have almost caught fire Sunday night in Martin County.
Fire rescue crews say they responded to the turnpike at almost 9 p.m. last night around mile marker 130 for reports of a vehicle fire.
There they found an 8,700-gallon gas tanker with a brake fire.
Crews were able to put the fire out before it spread underneath the vehicle and to the tank.
