A 52-year-old man from Big Coppitt Key was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly attacked another man after playing a game of billiards, authorities said.
According to Monroe County Sheriff’s Office spokesman AL, GJH and the 47-year-old victim had been playing billiards at the Purple Porpoise Pub on Big Coppitt Key Saturday night when an argument ensued.
L said H left the bar but returned with a pipe wrench and a Taser and attacked the victim with both weapons.
According to L, the victim went to the Lower Keys Medical Center for treatment and was met there by deputies.
He confirmed that the victim suffered a concussion from the attack.
H was arrested early Sunday morning on an aggravated battery charge.
It’s unclear what the two men were initially arguing about.
