Detectives with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Monday afternoon in Cutler Bay.
According to MDSO, the shooting was reported around 12:30 p.m. in the 18400 block of Southwest 86th Court.
Deputies said two men were involved in an altercation, which escalated when they both pulled out guns.
Authorities said one man was struck by at least one bullet and was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. He later died from his injuries.
The other man has been detained for questioning, deputies said.
No other details were immediately released.
