An argument Wednesday night between two men over a woman led to both of them exchanging gunfire, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said.
According to Detective Angel Rodriguez, the shooting occurred just after 9 p.m. at JL and Enid W. Demps Park, (formerly Goulds Park), located at 11350 SW 216th St.
Rodriguez said deputies responded to the scene after receiving a ShotSpotter alert.
He said they then discovered that two men had gotten into a verbal argument over a woman, which escalated, leading to both men pulling out guns and exchanging gunfire.
One of the men was apprehended and his gun was impounded as evidence.
The second man has not been found.
No injuries were reported.
The identities of the men involved in the shooting and the charges they may be facing have not yet been released.
