Miami Gardens fiery crash kills 1, reports say. State road shuts down

In the early hours of Thursday morning, a tragic traffic accident occurred in Miami Gardens, resulting in the closure of a state road. According to authorities, the collision was fiery, claiming the life of one individual and causing injuries to another. The incident prompted a rapid response from more than five Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units, who arrived at the scene around 3 a.m.

The accident unfolded on State Road 7, near its intersection with Northwest 215th Street. Notably, one of the vehicles involved in the collision became fully engulfed in flames, as reported by spokeswoman Andrea Rudchenco in an email to the Miami Herald. The severity of the accident required the extrication of one adult patient with traumatic injuries, who was subsequently airlifted to Jackson Memorial’s Ryder Trauma Center.

Tragically, another individual lost their life at the scene of the accident, as confirmed by reports. CBS News Miami’s cameras, in partnership with the Herald, captured the aftermath, showing a damaged SUV and a charred silver sedan.

As a result of the accident’s impact on traffic and emergency response efforts, State Road 7 was temporarily closed, stretching from Northwest 215th Street to Northwest 207th Street, according to WSVN 7 News. For commuters seeking alternate routes, Northeast Second Avenue, Florida Turnpike, and Interstate 95 may offer viable options.
