Miami police: 2 more women accuse Uber driver of drugging, kidnapping, possibly raping them.

Miami police fear there may be more victims of the Uber driver accused of taking advantage of woman after picking them up during a night out.

Three women are accusing 49-year-old Danny Maurad Avecillas of attempted kidnapping and fraud charges.

Local 10 News first reported on Avecillas over the weekend, when police announced his arrest related to a California woman who officers said was lured by the suspect, possibly robbed and sexually assaulted in January.

She told police she woke up naked in a random motel room and believes she was drugged.

Now authorities said two more women have been identified as victims.

“Further investigation did in fact confirm this subject was a rideshare driver that appeared to have been victimizing potential clients who are women,” said Miami police Officer Kiara Delva.

Similar to the first victim, the two women told police hundreds of dollars were charged to their credit cards.

“One of the victims actually reported that she started to feel pelvic and abdominal pain,” said Delva. “So she contacted police they conducted a further investigation.”

A new police report said Avecillas did admit to police, “that on more than one occasion he has placed incoherent females into his vehicle, transported them to a motel and has removed their belongings to keep them safe.”

Avecillas did not say much more to police in that interview, soon after asking for a lawyer. He is being held behind bars on no bond.

Uber said Avecillas has been removed from the platform.
