Miami police detectives investigated a shooting Monday that they said left four people wounded.
It happened just before 1:30 p.m. near Northwest 59th Street and 17th Avenue, in the city’s Liberty City neighborhood.
Medics took three victims to Jackson Memorial Hospital, while a fourth person drove themselves, a Miami Police Department spokesperson said.
All four were “alert and stable,” police said.
Video taken from a northwest Miami-Dade apartment shows a shot-up sedan surrounded by crime scene tape. The victims drove that Hyundai Sonata from the shooting scene to that complex at Northwest 23rd Avenue and 52nd Street.
“Our detectives are working around the clock to determine exactly who is the person behind this and also looking to determine if there are any cameras that possibly saw what transpired here today,” MPD Officer Kiara Delva said. “So if there’s anyone with any information we’re urging you to come forward so we can locate the suspect or suspects responsible.”
Family members told Local 10 News it’s a miracle all the victims are alive.
Authorities haven’t yet said whether they’ve identified any persons of interest or suspects.
“The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation,” police said.
