A Miami woman was arrested Tuesday, months after she allegedly attacked two of her roommates and threatened to kill one of them, authorities said.
According to an arrest report from the Miami Police Department, the incident occurred March 22 in the 1800 block of Northwest 27th Street.
Police said one of the victims told responding officers that he had invited friends over and they were all drinking when he heard a loud altercation between the suspect, M P-L, 29, and another woman who lives with them.
According to the report, the man stepped in between both women in an attempt to deescalate the situation, but claimed P-L punched him in the face.
He said he then tried to leave the apartment, but P-L went outside first and held the door closed from the outside.
According to the report, P-L later threw a cellphone at her female roommate, striking her on the forehead, causing a large bump.
Police said the victim then grabbed her 2-month-old baby and tried to leave the apartment, but P-L pushed her aside, telling she couldn’t leave until police arrived.
P-L then exited the apartment and prevented both victims from leaving, authorities said.
According to the report, Ponce-Lopez eventually left the area, and the female victim went to the police station to report the incident.
Police said the victim received an audio message from Ponce-Lopez via WhatsApp in which P-L threatened to kill her if she does not leave the apartment.
According to the report, P-L denied all allegations against her when she was taken into custody Tuesday.
She faces charges of written threats to kill, false imprisonment and battery.
As of Wednesday afternoon, P-L was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $9,000 bond.
