Miami woman accused of punching mother, threatening young son with knife over parking space

Miami woman accused of punching mother, threatening young son with knife over parking space

A Miami woman was arrested Thursday, months after she allegedly attacked a mother and then threatened to stab the victim’s 4-year-old son — all over a parking space, police said.

According to an arrest report from the Miami Police Department, the incident occurred April 15 in the 5400 block of Northwest Fifth Court.

Police said the suspect, ACU, 25, and the victim live in separate residences on the same property.

According to the report, on the date in question, the victim arrived home in her vehicle with her children – ages 4 and 9 – and found a car parked in her assigned spot.

Police said the woman honked her horn to get the attention of the driver and asked her to move her car.

But police said U exited the parked car and began arguing with the victim, telling her she can park wherever she wants.

Police said the victim exited her vehicle and was punched in the face by U.

According to the report, the two women began to fight, and U’s mother came outside at one point and pulled the victim’s hair.

Police said a neighbor eventually separated the women, but U went inside, grabbed two kitchen knives and then returned outside, chasing the victim around her car.

According to the report, U then grabbed the victim’s youngest son and threatened to stab him.

Police said the victim pleaded with U to let her son go, which she did.

The victim’s 9-year-old son witnessed the entire incident and corroborated his mother’s account of what had occurred, the report stated.

According to the report, after being taken into custody, U denied ever being armed with a knife or touching the child.

She was arrested Thursday on charges of false imprisonment with a deadly weapon, child abuse without great bodily harm, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery.

As of Friday morning, she was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Online jail records listed her bond as $18,500.
