A Miramar Beach woman has died after a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 98 in Walton County on Monday evening.
It happened shortly before 5:30 p.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a van with three women was traveling east on U.S. Hwy 98 while a 57-year-old woman driving an SUV was traveling west.
Troopers said the driver of the van attempted to turn left onto a private drive near 12282 U.S. Hwy 98 when the driver of the SUV was unable to avoid the van, resulting in a collision.
An 82-year-old passenger in the van was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
Troopers reported the other passenger in the van suffered minor injuries and both drivers had no injuries.
