A 26-year-old woman was hospitalized after a hit-and-run driver struck her while she was running on Saturday morning in Miramar, according to police.

Onyxia Delinois was ahead of her running group when the driver struck her along Miramar Parkway, east of Southwest 184 Avenue, according to the Miramar Police Department.

“Onyxia is fighting for her life,” Tania Ordaz, a spokeswoman for the department, wrote on Facebook.

Onyxia is the owner of an insurance agency based out of the Sawgrass Corporate Parkway area in Sunrise, records show. On Linkedin, she listed her U.S. Air Force Reserve service from 2016 to 2022 and retail jobs with Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom.

Ordaz was asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information on the case to call 954-602-4000.
