Mother arrested after leaving 3 children alone in Orlando hotel.

Left alone, wandering around a hotel, bruised and in tears, is how staff found three children after being left alone in an Orlando hotel.

Deputies say the children may have been left alone for two hours before their mother and her boyfriend came strolling into the hotel at 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The woman, Rashay Braynen, and her boyfriend, Gregory Pierre, are behind bars Thursday night.

According to the arrest affidavit, hotel staff were notified that a 2-year-old boy was alone on the fifth floor.

Staff then received a second call from another child, a 3-year-old boy, crying on the second floor in the hallway. Then, at around 6 a.m., Braynen and Pierre came back to the hotel.

Staff said they had been seen coming and going all night but had been away for roughly two hours when the kids were found.

Deputies then made another shocking discovery — a 1-year-old infant was found in the couple’s room where they were locked in, left completely alone and in tears.

James Delaughter, who isn’t related to the case but is staying at another nearby hotel, said it’s common to see children in this area being mistreated.

“It is a lot of that going on now where people don’t have the time or the patience for their own children that they created. I just don’t really understand that. It’s disheartening,” Delaughter said.

Braynen said the kids had been left with Pierre’s brother, who is also staying at the hotel – but that person said they were never asked to watch the children.

The 2-year-old was checked by medics for swelling on his forehead.

The Florida Department of Children Families was contacted, and the children were placed in the care of a grandparent.

Braynen is facing several charges of child neglect.
