Mother’s Day crash shuts down northbound I-275 in St. Pete

A major crash shut down all northbound lanes of I-275 in St. Petersburg on Sunday morning.

Responding agencies have not released any information about the circumstances around the crash or the condition of any injured drivers or passengers.

Nearby traffic camera shows at least two cars involved, one of which is lying on the metal divider. Southbound lanes, while unaffected by the crash, were also backed up for a few hours.

The crash happened at around 10:30 a.m. on Mother’s Day, just past the exit ramp for Gandy Boulevard.
