Motorcycle crash on State Road 62 leaves man dead

A man was pronounced dead after his motorcycle struck a utility pole on State Road 62, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

Troopers said that on Dec. 6, at 11:10 a.m., the motorcyclist was traveling west on State Road 62 near Methodist Church Road when he traveled off the roadway, entered the north grass shoulder and hit a utility pole.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
