Motorcyclist dead following crash south of Vero Beach

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a multi-vehicle crash that happened in Indian River County Wednesday evening.

The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on County Road 606, which is also known as Oslo Road and 9th Street Southwest, in Indian River County.

The crash occurred south of the city of Vero Beach.

According to the FHP report, a black 2019 GMC Sierra pickup truck was traveling westbound on County Road 606 in the continuous left turn lane approaching 10th Court SW.

A 2007 gray Harley David Sportster motorcycle was traveling eastbound on County Road 606 in the outside lane approaching 10th Court SW.

The driver of the pickup truck attempted to make a left turn across the eastbound lanes, to travel south on 10th Court SW.
