A 65-year-old motorcyclist died Sunday evening after crashing into a parked road ranger pickup truck and an SUV on the Dames Point Bridge, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to FHP, around 7:25 p.m., the motorcyclist was traveling northbound within the outside lane approaching a parked road ranger pickup truck with active amber lights and a directional board.
Troopers said the motorcyclist crashed into the rear left of the road ranger vehicle, redirected to the left, and then crashed into an SUV.
The motorcyclist, from Callahan, was transported to a hospital, where he died.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash shut down all northbound lanes on the bridge for hours. All lanes have since reopened.
